Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2008 is the second emblematic wine of Château Margaux. This vintage is distinguished by its elegant and homogeneous balance, despite slow ripening of the grapes due to varied climatic conditions. Composed of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, it offers a beautiful aromatic complexity with notes of raspberry, strawberry and light nuances of tobacco.
On the palate, Pavillon Rouge 2008 is characterized by fine tannins and a delicate structure, offering a soft and harmonious finish. This wine can be enjoyed now, but it will continue to improve in the cellar for 12 to 15 years.
Produced in the typical gravel terroirs of Margaux, this wine benefits from the heat released by the soil during the night, promoting optimal maturation of the grapes. The vinification and aging in French oak barrels provide a finesse and depth which make this vintage a real success.
